Metal Coating Information
Galfan is 5% Aluminium, Rare Metals, 95% Zinc, the ultimate in corrosive resistant coatings.
Galfan has superior corrosion performance when compared to standard HDG (99% zinc).
The coating's alternating zinc and aluminium plates disrupt any corrosion's path to the steel base.
Galfan's corrosion performance is at least two-times that of standard galvanised. The zinc provides sacrificial protection and the aluminium provides barrier protection. This is true against white rust,and it provides even more extended protection against red rust.
